Trim away any excess and fold the raw edges of the outside binding so that it can be neatly slip stitched in place when you’re ending your quilt. Trim off the selvedge edges of the binding strips and sew them all together using a diagonal seam. I recommend Diagonal Quilting Lines if you’re using a sewing machine because the patchwork will ‘give’ a bit to accommodate the quilting lines.
